HCO PL - 'The Why is God'. Written when Mary Sue was the Controller. Later editions of that HCO PL have removed her name from it.
According to a Tape by LRH, Mary Sue mapped out the first Classification and Gradation Chart on the
Briefing Course. 
At one time she was the Sea Captain of the Apollo in 1968 while LRH used a smaller vessel, Athena, for his Mission into Time expedition.
Not many women get to captain a ship of that size, about 3,000 BRT, but she ran it from the bridge. I Remember being on "the flying bridge" (the roof of the bridge) as a look out for her in a situation of crisis.
The engines wouldn't start. The anchors wouldn't hold and a rocky coast was awfully close. She was obviously very concerned but handled it very professionally and got us out of there -- just in time!
"...Every time a new staff member was recruited, Mary Sue wore the HCO hat and the evening before the arrival prepared a space with the 3 comm baskets and other MEST essential to the post. She also prepared a mini-hat (if it was a new post, writing the checksheet), and the checksheet along with the issues on the checksheet were placed in the middle of the desk ready for the new arrival. She also wrote some of the post Full Hats."
